Originally from the community of San Andrés Cohamiata.
This Huichol collection represents Wixárika symbols mainly the Peyote plant which is a small and spineless cactus that causes vivid hallucinations due to the mescaline.
This component makes peyote the center of some religious rituals but especially the center of our first collection. Go to explore the store and meet our collection, and observe all the colors and shapes there are. You will hallucinate!

With more than 30 years of experience as a master artisan, Floriberto started when he was 6 years old, filling small spaces in his father’s work. Can you imagine his little hands making art?
He used amate paper as the first canvas, eventually, his art evolved until he mastered clay, glass, wood, and various pieces that today are displayed around the world.
For these artisans, it is important to maintain the craftsmanship tradition in their families as it is the way to transmit and capture the daily life of their communities, with scenes such as the harvest, the jaguar dance, weddings, and offerings made by the villagers themselves as part of sacred rituals to ensure good times.

This town is located in Tepecoacuilco de Trujano in Guerrero.
Known for their great artistic talent embodied in different materials, making them unique pieces.
Did you know that 57.63% of the inhabitants (12 years old or older) are economically active?
This statistic is indicated by Guerrero government statistics for 2020 and is due to the fact that this beautiful work has been passed from generation to generation. Young children are taught by their parents different techniques to create pieces that speak of their hometowns.
It is wonderful to see how they use their hands to turn wood, amate paper, clay, and everything you can imagine into impressive pieces of art.
